About Julie Stout, CPA
Julie L. Stout is a co-owner and co-founder of Culbreth, Stout & Associates. A proactive, results-driven, and trustworthy accountant, Julie makes it her goal to help her clients succeed by providing quality accounting and tax services. She truly has a passionate love for accounting (especially tax!) and nothing makes her happier than when a return balances beautifully on the first run.
The firm provides a wide range of services, including tax preparation for both individuals and businesses, report compilation and review, budgeting and financial projection, office management and internal controls, nonprofit accounting, bookkeeping, and more.
Julie is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Georgia and a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, specializing in the desktop and online versions of the software, and is also proficient with Sage 50 Accounting, formerly known as Peachtree.
Prior to starting her own accounting firm in 1992, Julie worked as a bookkeeper at an insurance company for two years, handling daily bookkeeping tasks, managing customer service, and reconciling bank and other cash accounts. Since then, she has gained nearly three decades of knowledge and experience working with clients across a variety of industries under her own firm.
Julie earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Valdosta State University. In her free time, Julie enjoys exercising, especially playing tennis, hiking, running, walking, swimming, and doing yoga and traveling to new destinations. She also loves trying new cuisines and spending time with the loved ones in her life—her friends, her husband, her six children, and her pets: a lovely pack of dogs, three cats, five goats, two horses and a magnificent noble steed (donkey) named Murphy!
